The Humane Solution for Your Wildlife and Rodent Problems.

Bats are small, warm-blooded, mammals with the unique ability to fly. While bats can roost in caves and cliffs, they often form colonies in homes and buildings. Although colonies can vary greatly in size, bats can cause building damage and pose serious health risks to occupants.

Bats can fit through holes as small as a dime, leaving hundreds of potential entry points available in every building. Skedaddle technicians know the ideal time to remove bats, and where to look for hidden damage and droppings. When the timing is right, our technicians will install one-way doors over their entry and exit points that allow bats to exit to feed but do not allow them to return. All gaps and openings that could be taken advantage of by bats are filled with wildlife exclusion screens and sealant to keep them out for good.

When birds flock together around your home or business, it can get pretty messy. Pigeons, sparrows and starlings leave behind nests and droppings that can cause serious health problems and property deterioration.

Every bird removal requires a unique game plan to account for the type of species, the location of the birds and the behaviour they’re exhibiting. Our Skedaddle technicians know where to look for droppings and are trained to identify any potential fire hazards created by bird nesting material. Once our technicians have had the chance to evaluate the situation, they will walk you through their findings and their removal, clean-up and prevention plan.

Mice can enter homes through a hole the size of a dime and quickly multiply. Female mice can also reproduce every 21 days, so when you see one mouse, there are likely at least five times more in your house. And rats are even more nasty than mice if they gain entry to your home.

Our rodent removal and exclusion service is unique in the market. Rather than using bait and traps, we focus on rodent-proofing your home to provide permanent results. Skedaddle technicians go inch by inch around the perimeter of your home to identify entry points. We then install one-way doors over key entry points to allow the mice or rats to exit for food while preventing their re-entry. This service not only prevents mice and rats from re-entering your home but this solution works to eliminate all rodents, including squirrels, from entering your home in the future.

Raccoons are intelligent and ingenious; these attributes also make them destructive when they decide to live in your home. Once inside, raccoons can lead to sleepless nights for homeowners and costly repairs.

Skedaddle technicians begin each raccoon removal with a thorough assessment of your home to understand how raccoons have entered. Roof vents, soffits and siding are just some of the common points of entry for raccoons into attics. The arrival of baby raccoons brings a higher degree of complexity to the raccoon removal process. Our technicians are trained to locate and remove each of the babies by hand, often with the help of thermal imaging cameras.

Once outside the home, the babies are placed in a baby reunion box that keeps them warm and safe while they await their mother. Our technicians then lure the mother raccoon out of the attic, reuniting the family. With her path back into the attic blocked, and any remaining vulnerabilities secured by our team, the mother must then move her litter another den site outside your home.

The striped skunk is a mammal infamous for the strong odour it can emit. When targeted toward a pet or released under your deck or porch, that odour can cause a major headache that can take weeks to dissipate.

Preventing skunks from returning to a skunk den is an important step that usually requires installing a barrier to keep them out. Ensuring skunks can’t dig back in means burying heavy gauge steel mesh 8-12 inches deep into the ground around your deck, shed or porch that no skunk can penetrate. All screens are installed in an aesthetically pleasing way, using professional techniques, to make it appear as though we were never there. Once installed, you’re protected from all skunks in the neighbourhood looking to make your deck, shed or porch their home in the future.

Black, grey, and red squirrels are busy rodents. They are a fixture in many Maritime communities and can produce two litters of babies per year—one in spring and another in late summer. Squirrels can chew holes into homes and scamper within the walls and attic spaces, where they build nests, cause structural damage, and pose numerous health risks.

WOpportunities for squirrels to gain entry depend on how your home was constructed, the materials used and its current condition. By accessing the squirrel’s den site, our technicians can identify chewed electrical wiring, safely remove soiled insulation and repair structural damage. If squirrel babies are found, we remove them by hand and place them in a safe baby reunion box until their mother is removed. Once the family is reunited outside the home, and her path back in has been blocked, the mother must relocate her litter to one of her other den sites in the area.
